As opposed to the Melody A1 model which has 2 channels, the Melody A2 model has 4 channels for processing sound, providing an increase in clarity of the sounds transmitted to the eardrum. The Melody A2 is able to rectify most hearing losses up to the following decibel limits:

All of our Melody Hearing Aid are designed with an advanced Over-The-Ear (OTE) open-fitting design. The open fit design provides a personalized fit and excellent wearing comfort. The sleek, smooth, feather-light design provides advanced technology and reduced occlusion for outstanding performance.

The patent pending design addresses the needs of individuals who have a wide range of hearing loss, especially high frequency loss. Because of the slim lines and available colors, the Melody hearing aid A2 is extremely discrete and nearly invisible - perfect for those patients who don't want others to notice they are wearing a hearing instrument.

If you order online, just put in the Notes section that you have faxed us the audiogram	Just like an equalizer on a stereo, the Melody A2 model has 12 bands of adjustable frequencies to best meet your hearing loss. These are pre-set at the factory for the most common hearing loss curves but will be customized if you provide an audiogram.
4 Channels	With or without custom programming, you will be able to toggle through 4 amplification settings: 1 beep - Normal listening, 2 beeps - Telephone, 3 beeps - TV, 4 beeps - Restaurant/ Noise.
Non-occlusive ear bud	Holes in the small bud that goes in the ear allow you to hear some ambient sounds for better sound orientation
Enhanced omni-directional microphone	Be able to hear the people you are facing much better. This microphone picks out close-by speech from background noise.
Quiet Speech Amplifier	Picks quiet speech from someone speaking out of a room full noises
Dynamic Contrast Detection	Enhances speech without distortion. Also increases amplification of soft speech normally not detected.
Look-ahead detection	Checks micro-seconds ahead for loud sounds and dampens them so they don't affect the wearer.
Feedback cancellation	Constant monitoring automatically eliminates whistling, especially when using the phone. Resists over-amplification from horns, organ music, timer alarms, and bells.

With the capability of processing 2.56 Million calculations per second, the advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip in the Melody Hearing Aids achieves an extremely high level of performance at one of the lowest battery consumption levels in the hearing industry.
